Interesting article....Yes we have lots of similarities with the Israelis and from what we have been told by our ancestors, we could be Bnei Israel. However, we were never Jews and our ancestors did not believe in Judaism. They were followers of Moses (s.a.w) and Jesus (s.a.w) and followed the religion of 'Submission', in other words ISLAM.
And no we were not converted to ISLAM forcibly. Throughout the article you forgot a very important part of our culture, which is JIRGA. Our acceptance of ISLAM was a collective decision. Our ancestors followed the same principles of ISLAM and so accepting Muhammad (s.a.w) as the messenger of Allah was not difficult for them.
