The new entrance to the Babylonian Jewry Heritage Centre in Or Yehuda, Israel.

The two projecting rooms over the narrow lane are typical of Baghdadi architecture. They are called Shanashil (singular- Shenshul). They are meant to provide more shadow for the hot alleyway and also allow residents to have a better view of people going about the alleyways.
